Biography

Thomas Claude Finlayson enlisted on 1st May 1916 and was posted to the 8th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 6264. He was 19 years old, single, and a bank clerk from Ballarat North. He was born in Ballarat. In the fighting at Passchendaele he received severe wounds and died on 5th October 1917. He is buried in the Lijessenthoek Military Cemetery.
