Biography

Jack Trevan (SN 666) was born in Ballarat and attended the Mt. Pleasant State School. On September 14th 1914 he enlisted in Ballarat as an 18 year old compositor living in Mt Pleasant. He was drafted to the 14th Infantry Battalion and embarked just prior to Christmas bound for Gallipoli aboard the Ulysses. On April 29th 1915 he was killed in action at Gallipoli, has no known grave and his name is on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
