Biography

Robert Robinson (SN 6601) was born at Napoleons and attended the Napoleons State School. The 29 year old, unmarried labourer enlisted on May 10th 1916. He was assigned to the 6th Infantry Battalion and embarked from Melbourne in October on board the Nestor. After three months in England, he was posted to France where he joined his unit in March 1917. He was killed in action at Ville-sur-Ancre on May 18th 1918, and is buried in Le Kreule Military Cemetery, Hazebrouck, Belgium.
