Biography

Thomas Watson (SN 2170) was born at Penrith UK., but enlisted in Ballarat June 7th 1916. He was a farmer, 44 years old and married to Margaret. He was allocated to the 39th Infantry Battalion, embarked from Melbourne aboard the Shropshire in September and reached France in February 1917. On the April 9th 1918 he was killed near Amiens and is buried in the Mericourt-I'Abbe Communal Cemetery, France.
