Frederick Hendy was a single 33 year old night porter at the time of his enlistment on the 10th of August 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A39 Port Macquarie on the 16th of November 1915.
On the 1st of January 1918 he was taken on strength with the Australian Army Medical Corps.
Frederick returned to Australia on the 23rd of September 1918 and was discharged as medically unfit on the 25th of November 1918 due to deafness.
