Born in Castlemaine, Victoria, Edwin Percival Martin was a single 29 year old commercial traveller at the time of his enlistment in Queenscliff, Victoria on the 19th of May 1917. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board SS Indarra on the 26th of November 1917.
Edwin returned to Australia on the 29th of Augsut 1919, and was discharged on the 5th of October 1919.
