Edwin Percival Martin (SN 1044) born at Castlemaine, was a 29 year old commercial traveller when he enlisted on May 19th 1917. On November 26th he embarked aboard the Indarra and in April 1918 he joined the 2nd Siege Battery in France. He served out the remaining months of the war without incident and returned to Australia aboard the Persic, disembarked on August 29th 1919 and was discharged on October 5th.
