Biography

Born in Liverpool, England, George Thomas Knox was a single 29 year old electrical fitter at the time of his enlistment in Melbourne, Victoria on the 13th of September 1916. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A38 Ulysses on the 25th of October 1916.
On the 1st of May 1917, George was promoted from 2nd Air Mechanic to 1st Air Mechanic.
He was promoted to Lance Corporal on the 24th of January 1919.
George returned to Australia on the 16th of June 1919 and was discharged on the 24th of July 1919.
