Biography

George Mathew Sully was born in Ballarat but enlisted as a 27 year old labourer in Footscray on 18th September 1916. He was a bachelor. He was allocated to the 37th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 3145. On the 4th October 1917 he was killed in action at Broodseinde. His name is recorded on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium.
