Biography

Born in Ballarat East, John Hosking was a single 31 year old law clerk at the time of his enlistment in Melbourne, Victoria on the 7th of December 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A9 Shropshire on the 25th of September 1916.
He was promoted to Extra Regimental Corporal on the 7th of April 1917.
John was discharged on the 5th of December 1917 as medically unfit due to Pleurisy.
