Biography

Henry Woods was a single 36 year old miner from Creswick when he enlisted on the 7th of February 1916. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A69 Warilda on the 25th of May 1916. On the 28th of February 1918 Henry was wounded in action after being gassed. He returned to Australia on the 5th of January 1919 and was discharged on the 5th of May 1919 as medically unfit as he was suffering from Trachoma.
