Albert Bulluss (SN 29929) born at Ballarat, declared himself to be an 18 year old labourer when he enlisted in Ballarat on March 18th 1916. He commenced training with the 39th Infantry Battalion but on March 31st, just two weeks after enlistment, he was discharged for being underage.
Lucas’s Staffs Appreciation of Brave Men, the original Avenue register, records his name as Bert J. Bulluss.
His father John Isaac and his brother John Arthur also served in the AIF and is honoured with a tree in the Avenue.
