Percival Edward Neville Murphy (SN 61053) born in Melbourne, was a married 26 year old carpenter when he enlisted in Ballarat on February 2nd 1917. He served as a driver at Depot Battalions at Royal Park Melbourne and at Seymour until he was discharged medically unfit due to pulmonary tuberculosis on June 29th 1917.
Lucas’s Staffs Appreciation of Brave Men, the original Avenue register, records his name as Percy E. N. Murphy.
