Biography

Born in Horsham, Victoria, Charles Vincent Lea was a single 20 year old boot maker and repairer at the time of his enlistment in Ballarat on the 12th of February 1917. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A42 Boorara on the 10th of May 1917.
On the 25th of August 1917, Charles was taken on strength with the Australia Mounted Division and appointed as a driver on the 13th of September 1917.
Charles was discharged on the 21st of December 1919.
