Arthur Roland Hill was a married 31 year old artist when he enlisted on the 2nd of August 1917. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A32 Themistocles on the 4th of August 1917.
He returned to Australia on the 1st of January 1919 and was discharged as medically unfit on the 19th of April 1919.
