Biography

Frank Hood Ronaldson was born in Gippsland, Victoria, was single and an Engineer when he enlisted in the Australian Flying Corps, No 1 Special Draft on 19 March 1917 at the age of 27. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A71 Nestor on 21 November 1917. While overseas he married Louie Sharp of Albert Road, Southport. According to a letter dated 18 February 1919 he had arraigned to return to Australia aboard the Makura at his own expense.
