Henry Dobson (SN ) born in Ballarat, was a 34 year old farmer when he enlisted in Cootamundra NSW on April 23rd 1917. Assigned to the 13th Infantry Battalion, he embarked aboard the Marathon on May 10th and sailed to England where he undertook further training. He was deployed to France in March 1918 and came through his service there without major illness or injury. He returned to Australia aboard the Frankfurt, disembarked at Melbourne on August 20th 1919 and was discharged on September 19th. He also enlisted to serve during WW2 with service number V388311.
