Born in Ballarat, Kenneth Miller Mackay was a single 18 year old clerk at the time of his enlistment in his home town on the 28th of May 1917. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A38 Ulysses on the 22nd of December 1917.
On the 1st of September 1918, Kenneth was appointed Lance Corporal.
He was promoted to Corporal on the 1st of March 1919.
Kenneth returned to Australia on the 27th of October 1919 and was discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 26th of November 1919.
