Biography

Richard Charles Woods (SN 6909A) was born in Ballarat and attended the Golden Point State School. He was a 26 year old labourer when he enlisted in Horsham on July 14th 1917. He was posted to the 21st Infantry Battalion and embarked from Melbourne in November. He reached the battlefields of France in April 1918, but on July 6th he was killed in action near Villers-Bretonneux and buried in Longeau British Cemetery, France.
