Born in Elaine, Victoria, Christopher Joseph William King was a single 20 year old letter carrier when he enlisted in Melbourne, Victoria on the 18th of July 1917. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A71 Nestor on the 21st of November 1917.
Christopher returned to Australia on the 2nd of July 1919, and was discahrged on the 25th of July 1919.
