George Leslie Reeves was born in Ballarat and enlisted in Sebastapol on 21st August 1917. He was an unmarried, 21 year old dairy farmer. He was posted to the 24th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 6874A. On 12th August 1918 he was killed in the fighting at Proyart. His name is recorded on Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, France.
