George Ernest Sugget enlisted in Melbourne, Victoria at the age of 38 on the 30th of May 1917. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria, was single, and was employed as a Painter. He volunteered and was stationed with the 5th Battalion, 25th Reinforcements with the Regimental number 7555. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 6th of September 1919.
Lucas’s Staffs Appreciation of Brave Men, the original Avenue register, records his name as George Suggett.
