Biography

Clifford Keith Davies (SN 34963) was born in Ballarat and attended the Macarthur Street State School and Scotch College, Melbourne. The 20 year old farmer enlisted on February 13th 1917 and embarked from Melbourne on board the Port Sydney in November. In March 1918 he was posted to France with the 12th Australian Field Artillery Brigade. He survived the war but only a couple of weeks after the Armistice he died of influenza on November 28th 1918. He is buried at St. Sever Communal Cemetery, Rouen, France.
