Biography

Robert Henry Lawson was born in Ballarat South, but enlisted in Geelong on 30th September 1914. He was 28 years old, single and a labourer. He joined the 5th Infantry Battalion, with Regimental No. 1129. During his service he was promoted Lance Corporal. He was killed in action during the Landing on Anzac but was not reported until 26th April 1915. His name is on the Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli, Turkey.
