Biography

Alexander Hugh Henderson (SN 3313) born at Ballarat, was a 19 year old salesman when he enlisted in Melbourne on September 26th 1917 . He embarked aboard the Ulysses on December 22nd bound for England. In May 1918 he crossed to France to serve through the last six months of the war with the 38th Infantry Battalion. He returned to Australia aboard the Wiltshire, disembarked at Melbourne on August 19th 1919 and was discharged on September 11th.
