Born in Ballarat, Victoria and a Painter by occupation, George Arthur Albert Lionel Kibby was 26 years and married when enlisted on the 17th of September 1917 in the Army Medical Corps, General Reinforcements, Australian Imperial Force, with the rank of Private, Number 21699. His Unit embarked from Adelaide, South Australia, on board HMAT A36 'Boonah' on the 22nd of October 1918. Appointed acting Corporal on the 21st of July 1918 and acting Corporal reverts to Private on the 27th of September 1918 in the Australian Medical Corps; Private on the 9th of December 1919 in the 6th Field Ambulance; Temporary Corporal on the 15th of April 1919. Embarked return to Australia per 'Suevic' ex England on the 23rd of July 1919. Disembarked on the 10th of September 1919. Discharged from the 3rd Military District on the 25th of September 1919.
