Frederick Henry Fricke (SN 39639) born at Ballarat, was a 28 year old married agent when he enlisted in Melbourne on October 17th 1917. On April 30th 1918 he embarked from Sydney aboard the Port Darwin and sailed to England. Assigned to the 4th Division Ammunition Column he reached France just a week before the Armistice was signed. He was returned to Australia on the Exeter, disembarked on August 24th 1919 and was discharged on September 8th.
