Biography

Hubert Christopher Gordon (SN 3674) born in Ballarat, was a 19 year old salesman when he enlisted in Ballarat on November 13th 1917. He embarked aboard the Nestor on February 28th 1918 and sailed to England. In July he joined the 46th Infantry Battalion in France. Aside from two short periods of absence without leave, he completed his service without incident and returned to Australia aboard the Frankfurt. He reached Melbourne on August 20th 1919 and was discharged on September 12th.
