Biography

Cecil Henry Trethowan Jeffrey (SN 52803) was born in Ballarat but enlisted in Melbourne as a 21 year old clerk on January 7th 1918. As a General Service Reinforcement he sailed from Sydney aboard the Wiltshire on June 10th, reaching Suez in mid-July. He remained in Egypt, attached to the 15th Light Horse Regiment, for the remaining months of the war. He returned to Australia aboard the Dongala, reaching Melbourne on August 28th and being discharged on September 9th 1919.
