Biography

Born in Ballarat, Victoria and a labourer by trade, Albert Ernest Anderson was 21 years and single enlisted on the 10th of October 1914 in the 8th Battalion, 4th Reinforcement, Australian Imperial Force, with the rank of Private, Number 1707. His Unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A18 'Wiltshire' on the 14th of April 1915. Admitted sick to hospital, Gallipoli on the 6th of June 1915. Embarked return to Australia per 'Kanowna' ulcerated tonsillitis and was listed as returned to Australia for discharge on the 5th of October 1915. Discharged from the 3rd Military District on the 15th of May 1916. Tree No: 310
