Harold Mason Stallard enlisted in Christchurch, New Zealand at the age of 24 on the 13th of August 1914. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria on the 23rd of December 1890, was single and was employed as a butcher, for the Fire Board of Christchurch. He volunteered and was stationed with the Canterbury Infantry Regiment with the Regimental number 6/149. He was discharged and Returned to New Zealand on the 1st of February 1916. Tree number 3100.
