Francis Angus Stephens enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 24 on the 9th of June 1916. He had been born in Apsley, Victoria, was single, and was employed as an Labourer. He volunteered and was stationed with the 39th Battalion with the Regimental number 2153. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 20th of November 1918. Tree number 3101.
