William Abbott Watson was born in Ballarat, Victoria, he was married and at the time of enlistment was employed as a Assayer. He enlisted in Blackboy Hill, Western Australia at the age of 37. He volunteered and was stationed with the 11th Battalion, 7th Reinforcement with the Regimental number 2470. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 22nd of October 1917. Tree number 3121.
