Biography

Robert Henry Ferguson (SN 2532) was born in Ballarat but enlisted at Kadina in South Australia. He was 27 year old, a bachelor, working as a labourer. He joined on 31st March 1916 and was posted to the 48th Infantry Battalion. His service was punctuated by numerous discipline breaches until he was killed in action at Passchendaele on 12'h October 1917. He has no known grave and his name is recorded on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium.
He was 29 years of age.
