Biography

Hector Harold Tudor (SN 11932) born in Ballarat, was a 19 year old motor driver when he enlisted in Ballarat on February 20th 1916. He embarked aboard the Afric on June 5th and sailed to England where his further training was limited by illness. In February 1917 he crossed to France to serve with the 3rd Division Supply Column. Bouts of illness and several charges of being absent without leave caused regular interruptions to his service. He returned to Australia aboard the Mamari, disembarked at Melbourne on February 4th 1919 and was discharged on October 23rd.

His brother Christopher also served in the AIF and is honoured with a tree in the Avenue.
