Leslie Roy McDonald, a Railway Clerk from Mt Edgerton, enlisted in the Railway unit on 7 May 1918 from Broadmeadows at the age of 20. His previous military service is listed as with the 48th Infantry. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A37 Barambah on 31 August 1918. He returned to Australia 22 July 1919
