Biography

Colin Richard Hill, a Railway Employee from Tatyoon, Vic, enlisted in the 13th Light Horse Regiment on 3 May 1917 at the age of 18. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A32 Themistocles on 4 August 1917. On 29 June 1918 he marched into the Australian General Base Depot and on 25 September 1918 he was reassigned to the 7th Field Artillery Brigade where he was promoted to Gunner. He returned to Australia 13 July 1919.
