Biography

George Evan Thomas was born at Warracknabeal, Victoria. He was a Draper by trade, single and at the age of 22 enlisted 8 July 1915 in Ballarat. His ship landed at Alexandria, Marseilles on or about 26/3/16 - 2/4/16. He was wounded in action in France admitted for "Shell Shock" 16/8/16. He was appointed Lance Corporal 13/11/16. Was again wounded in action admitted to hospital for GSW to left finger. Rejoined detachment in the field 7/7/18. He was killed in action in France 23/8/18. Tree No. 3171.
