Charles Hoskin Richards enlisted in Wellington, New Zealand at the age of 22 on the 12th of August 1914. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria was single and was employed as a Tailor. Previous to enlisting in New Zealand he served with the 7th Australian Infantry Forces, only for 18 months prior to leaving to go to New Zealand. He volunteered and was stationed with the Wellington Infantry Regiment with the Regimental number 10/181. He was reported missing in action and later Killed in Action on the 2nd of August 1917. He has no known grave. Tree number 3186.
