Biography

Born in Heathcote, Victoria, Herbert Luckwald was a single 29 year old labourer at the time of his enlistment in Melbourne, Victoria on the 11th of January 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board RMS Persia on the 10th of August 1915.
He was promoted to Corporal on the 12th of May 1916, and then to Temporary Sergeant on the 6th of October 1918.
Herbert was discharged due to demobilisation in London on the 29th of October 1919.
