Biography

Reginald Charles Thompson (SN 2032) was born in Ballarat and attended Humffray Street State School. He enlisted in Melbourne on January 12th 1915. He was 19, single and a painter when he joined the 5th Infantry Battalion. He embarked from Melbourne in April on the Hororata and landed on Gallipoli in July. On August 9th 1915 he was killed in action and is buried in the Lone Pine Cemetery, Gallipoli, Turkey.
