Arthur William McCann enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria, at the age of 21 on the 8th of January 1915. He had been born in Ballarat, Victoria was single, and was employed as a Farmer. He volunteered and was stationed with the 23rd Battalion, B Company with the Regimental number 412. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 4th of January 1919.
