Biography

Albert Richard Rowe was born in Ballarat and at a later age became a Boilmaker by trade. At the age of 18 on 12 July 1915, he enlisted in the 14th Battalion. His Unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A68 Anchises on 14 March 1916. Wounded in action 3/12/16 and rejoined unit 11/12/16. Was again wounded by "Gassing" 10/2/18, rejoined unit 19/2/18. Was promoted to Corporal at some stage. He Returned to Australia 20 November 1918. Tree No. 3228
