Biography

Phillip Robert Murray was born in Ballarat and enlisted in Ballarat North on 19th June 1915. He was 21 years old, single and a draper. He joined the 8th Australian Field Ambulance, with Regimental No, 7763. On 24th September 1917 he was killed in action at Polygon Wood, and is buried in Menin Road South Military Cemetery, Belgium.
