George William Reid (SN 7372) born at Ballarat, was a 26 year old driver when he enlisted in Ballarat on July 8th 1915. He embarked for overseas service in November and served with the 2nd Australian Casualty Clearing Station. During his service he was troubled by influenza but avoided battle wounds. At the war’s end he returned to Australia on the nursing staff of the Zealandia, disembarked on June 28th 1919 and was discharged on August 22nd.
