Thomas Allan (SN 6435) born in Glasgow, Scotland, was a 28 year old plumber when he enlisted in Melbourne on July 24th 1915. He embarked aboard the Wiltshire on November 18th, first to Egypt and then on to France in March 1916. He served predominantly with the 4th Field Artillery Brigade and came through the war without significant harm. He returned to Australia aboard the Runic, disembarked at Melbourne on June 10th 1919 and was discharged on August 2nd.
