Biography

Thomas Ellis Eustice (SN 7979) born in Ballarat was a 29 year old draper when he enlisted in Ballarat on July 12 1915. On November 5th he embarked aboard the Bakara assigned to the 18th Company Service Corps. He reached France in June 1916 and served through the war without major incident. He returned home aboard the Kildonian Castle, disembarked at Melbourne on May 7th 1919 and was discharged on June 29th 1919.

Lucas’s Staffs Appreciation of Brave Men, the original Avenue register, records his name as Thomas Eustace.
