Herbert William Dawe was born in Ballarat, Victoria was single and was employed as a Farmer. He enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 21. He volunteered and was stationed with the 29th Battalion, Machine Gun Section with the Regimental number 91A. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 13th of April 1919. Tree number 3258.
