Born in Ballarat, Horatio Hart was a single 26 year old labourer at the time of his enlistment on the 29th of October 1914. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A46 Clan Macgillivray on the 2nd of February 1915.
He was wounded in action on the 8th of May 1915 with a gunshot wound to his right hand. He was discharged to duty on the 17th of July 1915.
Horatio was discharged on the 8th of October 1916.
