Biography

Born in Ballarat, Edward Gerald Mitchell was a single 28 year old jockey at the time of his enlistment on the 14th of July 1915. His unit embarked from Melbourne, Victoria, on board HMAT A64 Demosthenes on the 29th of December 1915.
Edward returned to Australia on the 27th of June 1919, and was discharged due to the termination of his enlistment period on the 24th of October 1919.
