Biography

Frank Herbert Davis (SN 4471), born at Ballarat and was 36 years old, married and working as a miner when he enlisted at Berringa on July 16th 1915. He left Australia on board the Themistocles in January and travelled to Egypt where he was assigned to the 58th Infantry Battalion before moving on to France. He was killed in action on July 19th 1916 in the tragic charge at Fromelles and buried in Rue-du-Bois Military Cemetery, Fleurbaix, France.
